Introduction
Waterline Riding Academy was established in March 2022! Waterline Riding Academy was the dream of Owner and Coach Victoria Stewart.
In June 2019 Victoria and her husband Dan Louden purchased the 80 acre property with the dream to open a riding school where anyone with a passion for horses is welcome. When they purchased the 80 acre property it was a rundown farm with a tiny 2 bedroom cottage that required a lot of TLC, a few paddocks and a dilapidated dairy dating back to the early 1930 -40s. The 80 acre property has been everything in the last few hundred years; knackery, piggery, dairy, racing stable, cattle farm, ostrich farm and now a riding academy. It was one of the original farms in the area and was previously the Hade family homestead.
Victoria’s dream for Waterline Riding Academy was to open a riding school which catered to all riders who loved horses. Throughout Victoria’s 25+ years of riding, competing and training; she realised there was a huge lapse in riders having the opportunity to learn to ride correctly through the training scale and the opportunity to be able to receive help in all aspects of riding and training.
Throughout the years; Victoria often became frustrated when instructors would be unable to explain why they were teaching a technique or exercise and also how the exercise was supposed to benefit the horse or rider.
So Victoria opened Waterline Riding Academy where she instructs on the importance of why as well of the how to ride and work with horses.
